about

This recording occurred over a stretch of about six months. During that time, I was able to draw inspiration from many of the fine musicians and engineers I worked with during the past year. In the wake of a particularly shattering experience, I felt a strong urge to work on something where I, quite literally, did everything I possibly could. I'm so grateful in particular to Matt Lamar, for giving his time to this, pushing me and being so supportive. We really explored, and I am quite pleased with the results. If you know yoga, then Corpse Pose might speak to the underlying feeling in this collection of songs - I think as artists, as well as people, we must be both vulnerable and strong at the same time. I'm pleased to share this work in its unadulterated state, free from business-minded influences that generally corrupt and distort the creative process.
